We are currently working on a project that requires us to install Illumina's Genome Studio for array data calling. This application it currently only available for Windows operating systems.
Would be possible to create a Windows virtual environment to install Genome Studio?

Amber Echidna Correction - this is not currently possible because we use some fundamental Linux technologies. However, we will continue to monitor this feature request to see how popular it is and may focus future efforts on enabling. Apologies.

hey this sounds interesting but I am also wondering what the proposed implemention on the Seqera-side would be like for this? Is there something that Seqera and/or Platform would be doing to facilitate this? Not entirely clear how it would be different from just spinning up the Windows VM yourself locally or in an AWS job or similar, outside of Platform. I am interested to know since we will also have Windows usages in the future.

Flamingo pink Python: Currently, this is not possible, and your proposed solution (spinning up a Windows VM outside of Seqera Platform) is the recommended approach until we can provision Windows containers in Data Studios. Thanks for your input.
