Upload a folder or multiple files directly via Data Explorer

Users should be able to upload folders (consisting of 1 or more files and/or folders) or multiple-files directly to a cloud storage bucket via Data Explorer, and then use those folders (or files) as input (or output) to a pipeline run.

in the past I have attempted to use the browser-based VS Code to upload files like this to the remote server, and one of the issues we faced was that the web browser had a signficant risk of crashing when trying to handle large files (fastq, bam) or handling large numbers of files. Is that going to be an issue with the implementation of this feature for Data Explorer?

Charcoal Mandrill: Managing uploads of large number of large files to the platform is a critical problem for us to solve when building this.

We want to give our users the possibility to upload multiple fastq files through Data Explorer. This works, however the is no visual indication of the upload itself (progress, completion) which is confusing since you don't know if the upload actually has been started.
